LAWS Volunteer Program
LAWS volunteers have been awarded the Governor's Gold Medal of Excellence in Volunteerism in recognition of the critical and outstanding work performed by local citizens on behalf of the women and children served by LAWS. Throughout every aspect of LAWS' programs, volunteers support the staff daily. They serve on the Board of Directors, answer the crisis line, assist with the Youth and Children's Program, provide landscaping services, work at the Resourceful Woman shop, provide emergency transportation, and perform other tasks too numerous to mention. All volunteers receive extensive training before becoming involved in direct service work. Pre-registration and interview is required. If you are interested in volunteering, call 703.771.9020, ext. 28.
